Motorola is preparing a new duo of flagship smartphones for the market. The first is the Motorola Edge X30 Pro which will bring the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the world’s first commercially available mobile 200 MP camera. The second will be the company’s new take on the RAZR series, which brings a new foldable smartphone with a modern design and flagship specifications such as the SD 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The launch event was expected to happen on past Tuesday, August 2. However, the event was canceled a few hours before it. According to speculation, the reason is the growing tensions between China and Taiwan in light of Nancy Pelosi’s (US House of Representatives Speaker) visit to Taiwan. So, the Motorola Edge X30 Pro and RAZR 2022 will have to wait a few more days.
Gizchina News of the week
The visit was basically a “bomb” and shake the entire market. Now, the situation is slightly quieter. After all, China clearly does not want to involve itself in a conflict like Russia. So, it’s time to move on. Today, Lenovo’s Mobile China GM posted a new teaser for the Moto RAZR 2022 which has the August 11 date on the cover screen and the time set to 2 PM. So, we assume that it’s the new launch date for the duo of Motorola Edge X30 Pro and Moto RAZR 2022 flagships.
According to reports, both the Motorola Edge X30 Pro and Moto RAZR 2022 will be on sale right after the event. Therefore, the reservations for both smartphones are already live. Interested users can pre-book any of the two flagships through JD.com’s website. So, we assume that the open sales will start shortly after the August 11 event.
Motorola Edge X30 and RAZR 2022 alleged specifications
The Moto RAZR 2022 will bring a revamped design without the huge chin that came in the previous smartphones. It will have a big inner display with a 6.7-inch and a 3-inch outer screen. The device has a dual-camera setup with a 50 MP main camera and a 13 MP ultrawide snapper. The foldable will bring a revamped battery capacity with a 3,500 mAh battery. The Motorola Edge X30, on the other hand, brings the world’s first 200 MP camera using Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 sensor. It will also have the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, and a 4,500 mAh battery with 125 W fast-charging support.
